About Montgomery Signal
Montgomery Signal is an independent school-information project for Montgomery County families. We monitor official public records, link back to the underlying source, and separate what the record says from what remains unclear.
What we use
- Board agendas and informational summaries: Public BoardDocs records are checked for agenda actions, contracts, resolutions, meeting summaries, and linked recordings.
- Board meeting calendar: The official MCPS calendar is checked for meeting dates, time changes, hearings, committee sessions, agendas, and webcasts.
- Schools and family operations: Official school-directory, transportation, enrollment, meal, calendar, and student-support pages ground practical family information.
- Budget and facilities records: Operating-budget, capital-plan, boundary, and facilities pages are monitored for decisions that may affect schools and services.
What to expect
Automation helps monitor public sources. Reader-facing briefs are published only after the source record and the practical meaning for families have been checked.
