MCPS college and financial-aid events start September 22
MCPS high school juniors and seniors can attend an Oct. 9 college fair during the school day. Families can also register for a virtual financial-aid night Sept. 22 and an in-person FAFSA help day Oct. 3.

The facts
- An in-person college fair for MCPS high school juniors and seniors runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. October 9 at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg.
- Students will attend during the school day, receive a link for an online profile, and can ask their school counselor for details.
- A virtual financial-aid night runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. September 22 and requires registration.
- FAFSA Day runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 3 at the East County Education Center, 2221 Broadbirch Drive in Silver Spring.
- FAFSA Day includes one-on-one FAFSA and MHEC ONE-APP help, financial-literacy presentations, scholarship and federal-loan information, credit-improvement information, and a community resource fair.
